The Lionheart, 2024

Based on one of our great Kings, Richard I Plantagenet, King of England, also referred to as Richard the Lionheart because of his reputation as a great military leader. 

The Lionheart has been painted using many ancient processes found in late medieval panel paintings using natural egg tempera bound with handmade pigments, Lapis Lazuli from Afghanistan, 23.75 carat Gold leaf and 

White Hart on a Bed of Ferns, 2023

Exhibited in the Executive Suite at Fortnum & Mason from April 12th 2023 for the Coronation of King Charles III

Inspired by the beautiful Wilton Diptych, this has been painted using natural egg tempera pigments and stippled 24-carat gold leaf onto a custom-made gessoed panel.
