Lucy found her love for painting being exposed to the rich traditions and Arthurian Legends of Medieval Europe. Furthermore, Lucy developed a love for Icon Painting and studied under a Master Iconographer, Dr Irina Bradley whom helped her pave the way to further study Icon Painting at the prestigious Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London.
She gained a Scholarship from the A.G. Leventis Foundation enabling her to study a Masters Degree at The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts where she graduated with a Distinction. From studying at the school she developed an affinity towards illuminated manuscripts. Lucy paints with hand-made watercolour mineral and earth pigments on calfskin vellum and egg tempera on gessoed wooden panels having been passed down to her through the knowledge of the Prince's School. She also specialises in traditional gilding techniques using 24 carat gold leaf.
Lucy continues to paint for her clients whilst currently living in Lincolnshire. Her work has been exhibited at The Saatchi Gallery in London, Dumfries House in Scotland, the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception in Mayfair, The Prince's Foundation School of Traditional Arts in London, Conquest House in Canterbury, a Charity Ball at The Saville Club in Mayfair, amongst many other places.
